Mr. Gregg Bishop

Mr. Gregg Bishop is a recognized leader in economic development, workforce strategy, and community investment, with a distinguished career spanning government, nonprofit, and private sectors. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Social Justice Fund, an initiative of the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation dedicated to advancing racial justice and economic mobility in Brooklyn.

From 2008 to 2020, he worked for Mayor Bloomberg and de Blasio with a focus on economic development in New York City. In 2015, Mr. Bishop served as Commissioner of the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), where he connected small businesses to over $200 million in capital, certified a record 9,000 Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises, and helped more than 100,000 New Yorkers secure good-paying jobs. He also launched Black Entrepreneurs NYC (BE NYC) and Women Entrepreneurs NYC (WE NYC).

He holds a B.S. from Florida A&M University and an M.S. from Florida State University.
